Eagle's Cliff Wines, Eagle's Cliff Reserve Wines & Dwyka Hills were founded by Christiaan Groenewald on the Groenewald family farms Welgemoed and Welgelegen. Christiaan has a natural talent and the almost one-man show on the farm he bought from his late farther. He is not only the owner of New Cape Wines, but also the business manager, and marketing manager. Christiaan loves nature and it is portrayed in the names of both ranges. The pair of black eagles that made their nest in the cliffs overlooking the Groenewald's vineyards, served as inspiration for the Eagle's Cliff label's design they have been part of his life since childhood, while the Dwyka Hills range was inspired by the Dwyka rock formations that were shaped 300 million years ago during the ice age.

The Eagle's Cliff range consists of easy drinking fruity wines, suitable for any occasion, while the Eagle's Cliff Reserve Range and Dwyka Hills are our premium wines. Both the red and white wines Are unpretentious and honest, but still manage to possess a mysterious element that sends the taster on a journey of exploring and discovering the excellent character of these unique wines.
