BISTRO @ 59
in Lydenburg, Escarpment,
Mpumalanga, South Africa
Bistro @ 59 is not a place. It is emotion constructed in cement, wood and
food. The garden is salted with relics of the Far East, while a corner belongs
to Africa with a real “waterpomp”.
Situated in the quiet part of Church street amongst admirable samples of
typical old houses, Bistro @ 59 has the privilege to be in the heart of the
historical town of Lydenburg.
You are invited to share the serene atmosphere while having some “koek and tee”
or feast on a plate of freshly prepared food under the African sky.
With the mixed architecture of the Bistro @ 59, it’s easy so imagine the
presence of the King of Siam, the Sultan of Zanzibar or Cecil John Rhodes at
your table.
Bistro @ 59 also offers Décor Warehouse, with 450m2 of hand selected items from
far away places. Mahogany canopy and sleigh beds, small décor items (so
goedkoop jong!) you can afford to give your bedroom a make-over.
Travelling through Lydenburg (Mashishing) don’t miss us, because you will miss
out...
