History

Rehoboth Lodge on Bethel Farm

Rehoboth Lodge on Bethel Farm was developed from 2002. The Lodge was developed in conjunction with the main house, which remains part of the setting overlooking the Maluti Mountains and wide open countryside.

Recently, Martin and Linda purchased the Lodge from the current owner Hanneke van den Dolder and wish to continue providing the wonderful experience developed over the years since the Lodge was opened.

The owners

Martin hails from Somerset in the United Kingdom and is a business man involved in the Mining Industry throughout Africa. Linda, an Accountant, now working in HR, was born in Camperdown, Natal and moved to Johannesburg, where they later met and married.

They have four children, and three  grandchildren, living throughout South Africa and they often come to the Lodge for a visit.

Their desire to move back to the countryside, where their roots were formed, has driven them to look for the most perfect of places to settle for their retirement. Their energy and drive will ensure that Rehoboth Lodge's history will be maintained for many years to come.
