Berg River Bridge, Flamingos, bokkoms, fishermen and beautiful beaches... yes, that is Velddrif! It is an almost forgotten spot on the West Coast but you will be surprised how much life is out here.

Peace, silence and West Coast tranquility will greet you along with lots of space to explore. The Berg River Estuary is home to a huge variety of water birds including the little Blue Heron. Otters and water mongoose are a common sight. Flocks of flamingos and pelicans use this area as a base.

Enjoy a boat trip on the Berg River, go for a kayak stroll, watch whales in season (the sea is just 5 minutes drive away) or visit the nearby salt factory (harvesting of salt is also part of life in Velddrif). The little village hosts a wide range of artists: even local fishermen submit their arts.

The taste-buds don't come off badly at all as part of the Crayfish Route, Velddrif is well-known for its seafood delicacies - particularly Bokkoms (dried fish on the banks of the Berg River)

The downstairs area hosts a guest toilet, an open plan modern kitchen / dining / lounge area. The kitchen is equipped with oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. The granite counter invites for casual dinners. The lounge with futon leads to the outside terrace with a braai so that families and friends can enjoy quality time together.

Restaurants, shops and more are in a short distance.
