PK LODGE
Bush Lodge (Self Catering) (GAME NEARBY) Accommodation
in Richmond, KwaZulu-Natal, Midlands & Battlefields,
KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa
At PK Lodge,
Eston in the KZN Midlands, you can truly get
away from it all.
As it comprises a single lodge, there are no other guests to contend with.
In fact, the only visitors you can expect are the game in this private
conservatory.
It's where the animals come to view you!
The lodge comprises 3 bedrooms which can comfortably accommodate up to 8 people,
but smaller parties are also welcome. With 2 well-appointed bathrooms, spacious
kitchen for self-catering and a lounge-diningroom opening on to an extensive
deck overlooking your "neighbours" grazing on the undulating veld - the comforts
of home and the great outdoors are both yours to enjoy.
There is of course also a braai and, for winter visitors, a charming fireplace
in the living-room.
The lodge is serviced daily, and equipped with all crockery, cutlery, pots and
pans, linen, towels etc - all you need bring is your toothbrush!
Attractions:
As part of the Nkoxweni Conservancy, there are over 20 species of game, hundreds
of bird species, and a welcome paucity of people - a refreshing rest from the
rigours of the city.
Three Hiking Trails are demarcated, but you are also free to wander off the
beaten tracks to view the fauna and flora at even closer quarters.
Fishing on the
Umkomaas can be relaxing or exciting, depending if the fish are
biting. With luck you'll catch yellowfish, barbel and eel. For the more active
angler, the challenge of fly- fishing can prove particularly rewarding.
Magnificent Views over the dramatic Umkomaas Valley are provided from a viewing
deck.
Thirty Kilometres of Drives wind through the conservancy, but for some of these
roads a high-chassis vehicle or 4x4 is advisable.
All in all you're assured of a memorable stay at PK Lodge, owned and managed by
Billy and Lyn Rosettenstein and their son Marc who farm in the area.
Hunting Packages are available on request.
