This three-bedroom, two bathroom penthouse apartment is situated on the 3rd
floor of a popular complex on Chaka's Rock main beach and tidal pool. From the
huge balcony you have uninterrupted and spectacular views of the ocean and the
beach.
The main bedroom has a double bed and an en-suite bathroom with a bath. The
second bedroom also has two single beds and the third is furnished with two bunk
beds. A second bathroom with a bath and shower, services these two rooms. Linen
and duvets are provided for the beds, but please provide your own beach and bath
towels. Two of the bedrooms lead out onto the balcony through sliding doors. All
the bedrooms have ceiling fans and there is a gas barbecue on the balcony. A
daily cleaning service is included during the week.
The open kitchen/lounge area also leads out onto the balcony and the comfortably
furnished lounge has a TV, DVD player and DSTV.
The balcony is equipped with outdoor furniture and loungers. The kitchen is
equipped with a stove, microwave, fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle, iron,
crockery and cutlery to serve 6 people. There is also a washing machine and
tumble dryer.
The complex has a lovely swimming pool area. Secure parking for 2 vehicles (one
undercover and one open). Unfortunately the flat is not wheelchair accessible as
there are three flights of stairs to the unit. Access to the complex is by
remote control.
Chaka’s Rock is situated in Ballito which has numerous beaches, golf courses and
assorted activities with fantastic weather all year round.
There are three magnificent golf courses in the area: Zimbali (complete with a
day spa) and Umhlali are less than 10 minutes drive away while Princes' Grant is
20 minutes drive but is worth the extra distance for the quality of the course
and the breathtaking sea views.
There are numerous restaurants in the area, many with a strong Portuguese
influence as a result of the short distance to Mozambique. Beira Alta in the new
Ballito Lifestyle Center and Mo-Zam-Bik are the pick of the bunch (especially if
you enjoy prawns or steak).
For a day off from the beach Gateway Mall in Umhlanga is only 20 minutes away,
while for a more culturally enriching experience the King Shaka Cultural Tourism
Trail is a celebration of the life of King Shaka, the man who turned a small
clan into a mighty Zulu Nation.
There are also numerous arts and crafts markets less than 10 minutes drive from
the flat including the Ballito Pottery Gallery and the Footprints Gallery.
For the more adventurous there are assorted activities such as microlight
flights, deep sea fishing, quad biking and horse riding all near by. Contact

uShaka Marine World in Durban, the largest aquarium in the Southern Hemisphere,
is well worth a visit as is Crocodile Creek in Ballito
