Palapa Place is situated 100m from the beach on the southern side of Umdloti, near interesting rock pools ideal
for children. It is a great surfing spot and offers spear, rock and canoe
fishing, kite boarding, cycling, paddle skiing, a tidal pool, horse riding on
the beach and beautiful walks.
So come and relax in our 2 bedroom self catering holiday cottage in Umdloti Beach sleeps 4 adults and child on stretcher. Enjoy a
game of golf at Zimbali Lodge, Durban Country Club or Beachwood
Golf Club North of Durban. Sit on the deck and look for dolphins watching the
sunrise, chill with a glass of wine at the end of day. Did I mention the
Mangwanani African Day Spa nearby?
Only 1km away from the main swimming beach, is a great Italian Restaurant, "La
Casa Nostra" and an Umdloti landmark, "The Bush Tavern", pubs and so much more!

Umdloti is a great Surfing spot (hire a board at the Kitesports shop) and offers

reputed and offer good service at the KiteSports School in Umdloti Beach. All
equipment is supplied for your lesson with the School, safe for youngsters (min
12 years old) and adults alike. Two way radios are used to bring you the highest
level of teaching. Beginner lessons on the safe, flat-water of Umdloti/La Mercy
Lagoon. They also hire out Surf Boards.
