If you want a relaxed holiday in peaceful and quiet surroundings with a
pristine sandy beach just 50 meters away, "Outeniqua on C" is just the place for
you. We are situated in the picturesque village of Outeniqua Strand (Glentana),
halfway between George and Mossel Bay.
Outeniqua Strand is certainly a gem waiting to be discovered. The safe beach
offers long leisurely walks. Walk just 50 meters from your doorstep to the end
of a private panhandle for a 180' view of the beach and ocean. Watch dolphins
frolic in the waves and be dazzled as the giants of the ocean (Southern Right
Whales) visit our coastline during the mild winter months.
George airport is situated about 15 minutes drive to the north-east of Outeniqua
Strand. The airport is serviced by all prominent South African airlines and has
car rental facilities available.
Outeniqua Strand is a tranquil seaside village with no shops or restaurants. The
closest restaurants and take-away outlets are available at Great Brak River, 6
km to the west. Furthermore there are eating places aplenty in either George or
Mossel Bay. Or you can braai at your own private braai facilities at "home".
Make "Outeniqua on C" your base for discovering the Garden Route (all towns are
within 100km). Attractions include enchanting hikes, playing golf at some of the
most beautiful golf courses in the Southern Hemisphere, scenic drives ( many
scenic mountain passes), private game ranches, bird watching, a tour on the
Outeniqua Choo-tjoo train, daytrips to George, Plettenberg Bay, Knysna,
Tsitsikamma Forest, Mossel Bay and Oudtshoorn (Cango Caves). For the adventurous
soul the region offers, amongst others, skydiving, bungy jumping, paragliding,
hot air ballooning, white shark cage diving.
The lovely clean flat (non-smoking, furnished for your comfort with a touch of
luxury) with private entrance, forms the lower ground level of the main house
and offers:

- A fully equipped kitchen with two-plate stove and oven, microwave,
fridge, freezer, kettle, toaster, electric frying pan, crockery, cutlery,
etc.
- Spacious open-plan living area including dining area, seating area and
sleeping area (bunk bed)

- One large bedroom with double bed (all beds have comfortable mattresses.
Pillows, duvets, blankets and crispy clean bed linen are provided).

- Bath towels optional extra. Please bring own beach towels.
