Only 50 minutes drive from Johannesburg, but worlds apart in ambience, lays
Kosmos, a character filed village on the edge of the mountain, next to the
Hartebeespoort Dam. Here you will find a beautiful Spanish-style villa with a
large live-on patio. It not only has spectacular views of the dam, but this
villa is also located on the waterfront. The property has direct access to the
tow path, which follows the waters edge from one side of Kosmos to the other.
There is a boathouse, surrounded by water on 3 sides, with a private jetty for
mooring. An additional patio on the boathouse roof, can be used by those wanting
to be practically on the water.
From the villas patio, you can soak up views right across the dam and of the
yacht club, while lounging in comfortable seating, or you can make use of the
braai facilities and dine there, in style. Perhaps, take a stroll through the
terraced, tropical garden with its avocado tree, a paw paw tree, mango tree,
litchi, and guava trees.
The villa has 3 bedrooms, one with a king size bed, one with a queen bed and
one with 2 single beds. There are 2 bathrooms, with one ensuite to the main
bedroom. To facilitate larger groups, there is also an additional outside
flatlet, furnished with a queen bed, and with its own toilet, basin and shower.
The villa has a fully equipped kitchen and scullery/ laundry area with a washing
machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher. The large open plan dining/lounge area
boasts an enormous dining table, has comfortable Whetherley couches, DSTv full
bouquet, a fussball table for the young at heart, and a very effective
wood-burning stove for use during the colder winter months.
If you have had your fill of tranquility, the area is densely populated with art
galleries, restaurants, markets and adventure sport opportunities. If you can
tear yourself away from the beautiful views, there is never a bored moment to be
had in this beautiful part of world.
