Mowana Self-catering Chalets is situated in a safe and electrified fenced game
farm 10 km outside Tzaneen on the Phalaborwa road (R71) in the sub-tropical
Limpopo Province.
This is the ideal holiday and overnight accommodation for couples, families,
tourists and representatives, and people who loves nature, game and birds and a
peaceful farm atmosphere. We don't cater for the commercial market, but specialize in exclusive private accommodation for nature and game lovers. (Our rates are mainly a donation for maintenance of the
accommodation and other facilities and to feed the animals)
Cozy thatch roofed self-catering chalets each with its own distinctive character
and own private braai/lapa.
Chalets are fully furnished open plan units with bathroom , sleeping area, lounge
area, dining
area and kitchen area.
Chalets sleeps 4 people. 1 Double bed and the lounge sofas can be converted into two
comfortable single beds.
Chalets are fully fitted with linen and towels. Kitchen fitted with microwave,
2plate stove,
fridge/freezer, crockery, cutlery, etc.
All the chalets are air-conditioned. No TV available.
Daily cleaning services and 1 bundle free firewood per day is included in the tarrif. (Bring your own charcoal
if you prefer it)
All the chalets have a wonderful view over the dam with abundant bird life and
game strolling around. ( Sable antelope, Eland, Giraffe, Kudu, Njala, Zebra,
Waterbuck, Blue wildebeest, Impala, Blesbuck, Bushbuck, Duiker, Wild boars,
Ostrich, ect.)
Safe walking trails available.
Game drives can be arranged in a Game Viewer, which is a new concept, guaranteed to give you a real unique
game viewing experience.
Fishing: 1 dam to catch and release from. Arrange with management.
Mowana Game Farm can be used as a base for daily visits to many tourism
destinations nearby, eg. Debangeni Waterfalls, Baobab Bar, Elephant rides,
Cheetah project, Graskop, Kruger National Park ,etc.
Restaurant and Ladies bar at entrance to Mowana game farm.
Airfield; Tzaneen-Airfield ,15 Km from Mowana Game Farm. Pickup can be arranged.
Really sorry- NO PETS allowed and NO SMOKING inside the chalets.
