Mountain Madness, at 20 Sutton Street, is a character-filled, A-frame house in Underberg) overlooking the scenic Himeville nature reserve. The house is well situated allowing easy access to many activities and places of interest.

Some favourites are:

• Fishing in the reserve dam,
• Brown trout fishing.
• A day trip up the Sani Pass,
• A visit to the Underberg Cheesery
• Horse-riding at Khotso Farm
• Mountain biking
• Walking and hiking
• A meal at the Moorcroft Manor
• A drink at the infamous Himeville Arms or
• a round of golf at the Underberg golf club.

The house is fully self-catering with an open plan living and kitchen area. The kitchen is fitted with a stove, fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster and kettle as well as plenty of cutlery and crockery. The lounge has a TV with DVD player and decoder (just bring your own smart card). It also has a jetmaster wood fire place for cold winter nights. The covered patio has a large wooden table with benches, outdoor braai area, as well as a fire pit for an outdoor bonfire. The rental includes 1 bag of firewood, whereafter you will need to purchase your own from one of the nearby garages or The Underberg Forge (hardware in Underberg).

There are 4 bedrooms, 2 downstairs and 2 upstairs (each with a double bed and some additional singles and bunks). The house can sleep a maximum of 10 people. There is a bathroom downstairs (with bath and shower in the bath) plus separate loo and a 2nd bathroom upstairs with shower and loo. All linen is provided but you need to bring your own bath and swimming towels. We have a live-in maid, Albertina, (in her own quarters on the property) who comes in daily to tidy the house and wash dishes so that you can totally relax and enjoy the Drakensberg experience.
