Mooiplasie Bush camp is situated in the Dinokeng big 5 Game Reserve North of
Pretoria, 65km from the Zambezi off ramp in Pretoria. We have lots of game
surrounding our chalet camp as all the fences has been taken down. We
accommodate private guests, groups, functions, conferences, small weddings,
birthdays, year- end functions, family re-unions, etc. We can accommodate up to
80 guests (sharing).
Our camp is the ideal family break away (self catering). We offer meals to
groups of more than 10 guests. We are famous for our great "boerekos" menu.

"Die Ark" Dormitory Style with own Lapa & Bush Kitchen

Sleeps 18 people on single and bunk beds according to your needs. (Minimum 14
people) This unit has an adjoining Lapa with a "Braai" area and picnic style
benches and tables. A fully fitted bush kitchen with fridge / freezer, cutlery
and crockery and all other utensils which might be needed for a perfect group
get-together. Ablution facilities are next door.
Giraffe Dormitory Style. Next to "Die Ark"

Sleeps 12 people on single and bunk beds. (Minimum 6 People) Used in conjunction
with "Die Ark" to accommodate larger groups. Can also be converted to a double
bed and single or bunk beds to accommodate a large family. The Giraffe has a
wood and gas braai area, has a fridge / freezer, cutlery and crockery as well as
all other utensils necessary for a carefree stay over. Ablution facilities are
close by.
"Die Ystervark" : Dormitory Style

This unit has two rooms and can accommodate 18 people on bunk beds. (Minimum 14
people) It has a fridge / freezer, cutlery and crockery and all other utensils
necessary for a perfect stay. Ideal for a group of friends or in conjunction
with "Die Ark & Giraffe", it is an ideal combination for large groups. Ablution
facilities are close by.
Rondavels: Cheetah & Zebra
Cheetah Cheetah
Two rondavels, each has a double bed and two single beds, ideal for a weekend
break away. Each unit has a fridge / freezer, cutlery, crockery and all other
utensils. A private wood & gas braai area for each unit is set amongst a rocky
outcrop, which adds a bit of romanticism to these units. Ablution facilities are
close by.
Chalets: Eland & Kudu

Two chalets, each equipped with a double bed and two single beds as well as two
single mattresses on the loft. Ideal for a family with kids and their friends.
Each chalet is equipped with a fridge / freezer, cutlery and crockery as well as
all other utensils necessary to prepare scrumptious meals. Each unit has its own
gas & wood braai facility set in a private entertainment area. Set between these
two chalets is a private boma which can be used when friends or family occupy
both units. A private shower, toilet and wash basin completes the setting for
each unit.
"Die Vlakvark" A Double Chalet

A two roomed chalet, each room has a double bed and a bunk bed. The unit has its
own toilet, shower and wash basin. Fully equipped with a fridge / freezer,
cutlery and crockery and all other utensils necessary for your stay. A small
kitchen area as well as gas & wood braai facilities are also part of the unit.
Our activities consists of the following: Swimming pool, Game drives,
Pool table, Trampoline, Swings for kids, Team building track for groups., Dart
board, Volleyball, "jukskei" track, functions, (complete - meals- venue-music),
Kareoki evenings, Big screen rugby or movies in Communial Centre.
Nearby activities: Horse riding, quad bike riding, hot air balloons,
microlight planes, Mystic monkeys and feathers bush veld zoo with beautiful
lions, white lions, Bengal tigers, a variety of fantastic birds, and a selection
of amazing monkeys amongst other beautiful animals. Bush veld golf, (something
new from Europe) for the whole family to enjoy. We are also about a half an
hours drive from Bela- Bela (Warm baths).
Mooiplasie Bushcamp is owned by Bertie and Betsie van Graan. Approximately 19
years ago they bought a piece of land. The two of them started with one small
chalet and eventually built the whole camp bit by bit. Mooiplasie is not just a
bush camp. It is an experience. The kindness and hospitality of the owners stays
with one for a long time.
