Montello Safari Lodge is situated near historical Greytown, two hours from Durban in the malaria-free Natal Midlands. Owing to its topographical diversity - high hills, savannah plains, and deep gorges - Montello comprises a variety of vegetation supporting many species of game and an abundant bird life.

Game Lodge Accommodation
Lodges and rondavels nestle attractively among indigenous camelthorn trees. The luxury lodge Mgamanzi sleeps eight to twelve and offers bathrooms en-suite and a private lounge. For smaller groups there is an en-suite rondavel, Ondini, for two to four. Three home style meals a day are included in the tariff. Also included are tea and coffee, game drives and trails.

Self Catering Bush Camp Accommodation
In the bush camp, Kamagqoyi, self-catering visitors enjoy the rhythm of nature without missing the luxury of comfortable bed and en-suite toilet. There are five two-bed rondavels, and a communal kitchen. The tariff for the bush camp includes accommodation and professionally set trails which offer a rewarding hiking experience.

There is a variety of game including wildebeest, giraffe, impala, blesbuck, oribi, nyala, kudu, reedbuck, springbuck, duiker, zebra and ostrich. Montello is a birdwatcher's paradise. Guided game drives or game spotting on horseback are arranged. Professionally set trails offer a rewarding hiking experience. From the swimming pool in front of the lounge the view stretches as far as the Drakensberg mountains. Sundowners can be enjoyed while watching the famous Montello sunset.

Transport from Durban International Airport and individual, tailor-made tours to surrounding wildlife attractions and historical battlefields can be arranged.

Conferences Facilities
Groups of up to 50 sharing can be accommodated. Facilities for such groups include a communal conference lounge, dining room and outdoor braai'ing next to the pool. Game drives could be arranged. Day conferences max at 200.

Weddings & Functions
Wedding package available on request. Cater for up to 200 guest.
