Nestled in manicured gardens, the rustic Monate family suites and rooms offer an
opportunity to indulge in a peaceful and relaxing environment. With all the
amenities & necessities at one's reach, each air-conditioned room also has its
own spacious full en-suite bathroom.
Ideal for honeymooners and executives are our distinct Hampton and Rushton
Tented Suites, decorated in a sophisticated blend of both Chinese and Colonial
antiques, each with open access to a private sundeck and pool, oozing complete
luxury in an environment where pampering and attention to detail is absolute.
At Monate our unsurpassed dining experience is designed to tantalize your taste
buds, specializing from venison to vegetarian dishes, served in different
settings, such as our unique natural cave, in the open bush or around the lodge
camp fire. All delicious and carefully prepared meals will make guests feel
right at home.
Monate's private game reserve is set in 1839 hectares of bush, open plains and a
variety of interesting koppies - home to rhino, buffalo, hippo, crocodiles,
giraffes, zebra, wildebeest, brown hyena and a variety of antelope. Professional
guides keep guests intrigued during early morning & afternoon game drives.
Choices are endless... Horse trails are extremely popular and thoroughly enjoyed
by beginners and experienced riders alike. Frolic on the trampolines or play a
round of swingball. We are excited to introduce our new adventurous putt-putt
course. For the more energetic there's the volley ball court, our fully equipped
gym or perhaps clay pigeon shooting! Naturally the jacuzzi & 2 swimming pools
are ideal for those who choose to embark on total relaxation!
Conference delegates can enjoy the tranquility of the bush whilst conducting
business in a conducive atmosphere. Our state of the art conference centre is
situated close to the lodge sporting wireless internet connection and mobile
telephone reception. The fully equipped air-conditioned centre can accommodate
all seating styles with breakaway rooms and en-suites. Being a malaria-free
location makes us ideal for teambuilding coupled with the beauty of the
surroundings.
Additional facilities include an airstrip and helipads, under cover parking,
complimentary tea / coffee station in our lounge accompanied by DSTV on our
large screen TV and fully licenced bar.
Larger groups can rest assured with the knowledge of exclusive use of the lodge
for the duration of their stay. Our exceptional and vibrant team will ensure

Entry:
Our Main Gate is open from 08h00 - 17h00. Please be advised that there will be a
gate guard for pre-arranged arrivals & departures.

You will be held liable for an extra charge for any unscheduled / late
arrivals.

What to bring?
- Comfortable closed shoes for activities or bush dinner venues.
- Warm jacket for winter & afternoon game drives
- Rain coat for Summer (rain season)
- Swimming Costume & Sun Block
- Binoculars, Camera/Video Camera
- Sweets & Snacks (we do not have a tuck shop on the premises, nearest
town 45kms).
Child Policy
Monate is Child Friendly.
0 - 2 Year old children to share with parents at no extra charge, but are not
permitted to join game drives.
3 - 11 Year old children either sharing a room with their parents or in a
separate room will be charged at 50% of the adult rate, which includes meals,
accommodation and game drives.
Children from 12 years old will require a separate room at the adult rate.
Baby sitting facilities available (please enquire at reception) at an extra
charge.
For any special children's meals/times please arrange before arrival.
Game Drives
Children under the age of 2 are not permitted on game drives.
Game Drive times differ according to seasons (please contact reception for more
information).
