Millpond House is situated in the quaint,Clarens in the Eastern Free State. If you are after comfortable, homely accommodation this is the place for you.

It is a haven of peace and tranquility and only a mere eight minute stroll from the village centre. The rose-filled garden is a mass of colours and fragrances where chickens roam around freely. There are five individually decorated rooms to choose from and they all have spectacular views of the sandstone mountains, with their interesting rock formations. Scrumptious, wholesome, country breakfasts using our own free-range eggs are served in the sunny breakfast room.

Clarens has many interesting little shops, amazing art galleries, coffee bars and restaurants, in addition to a vast variety of outdoor activities that will keep visitors entertained for the duration of their stay.

Rooms:

• Mill Creek cottage:
  is a free standing cottage with two deluxe suites - the Walnut and Rose Rooms. They both have queen size beds, en-suite bathrooms with shower and slipper bath, private patios with pergola, separate entrances, DSTV and small kitchenettes with microwave, fridge, crockery, cutlery and tea and coffee making facilities. Open fire-places, under-floor heating, electric blankets and complimentary sherry are sure to keep away those winter chills.
• The Garden Room:
  The Garden room has French doors opening onto a private little garden. It has the same facilities as Mill Creek Cottage but does not have a fireplace. Small kitchenette, with en-suite bathroom with corner bath and shower.
   
• The Blue Room:
  The Blue Room is exactly the same as the Garden Room but has twin beds or alternatively it could be made into a king-size bed.
   
• The Feather Room:
  The Feather Room has a separate entrance and is upstairs. French doors open onto a large balcony with spectacular mountain views. It has an en-suite bathroom with shower only.
