Situated 180 km from Cape Town, on R60 (between Ashton and Swellendam), Mazwil Retreat is a 450 Hectare farm with abundant protea, renosterveld, fynbos, birdlife and animal life typical of the untouched veld of this area. The Retreat is an Eco-Retreat surrounded by dairy, fruit, pork, and vineyard farms. There are 52 Wine estates within a 20km radius - one wine estate per week of the year! Well known estates include Van Loverein, Zandvliet, Excelsior, Springfield, Arabella and Goedverwacht. Klipdrift Brandy is 25 km away in Robertson and offers tours and tastings.

Mazwil Retreat is an escape to visit - magnificent views, excellent amenities and fun walks, dam and pool swimming in summer, log fires and reading in winter. Guests enjoy the solitude and full use of this 450 Hectare farm.

• Linen and bath towels provided

A thatched lapa overlooking the bird-life abundant dam:
