Penny and Dave invite you to relax in the tranquility of their luxurious Guest House which has been developed from what was the original farm house on the Virginia Sugar Estate in the 1950's.

We are ideally situated midway between Umhlanga Rocks and Central Durban with easy access to the business centres, fabulous shopping malls, fine beaches and our iconic world class sports stadium.

The sub-tropical coastal areas and a venture into the Midlands of KwaZulu Natal provide an amazing diversity of interesting things to see and do.

We have created eight larger than usual rooms, all air conditioned and each has a full en-suite bathroom, satellite television, extra length beds with French doors opening onto a sparkling pool and patio area.

Whether you are here on business or pleasure, we invite you to come and share our special space in paradise.

Directions

Approaching from N2 North / King Shaka International Airport

  • travel on N2 in southerly direction
  • take the Umhlanga Rocks Drive turnoff
  • at the traffic lights turn left onto the M41
  • take second Umhlanga Ridge glide off to Umhlanga Rocks Drive
  • at the traffic lights turn right into Umhlanga Rocks Drive
  • travel through 2 traffic circles and just keep going until you see a BP Service
  • Station on your right (about 4 km)
  • go through these traffic lights and at the next set of lights
  • turn left into Ashley Avenue
  • pass the Spar shop on your left and the Caltex garage on your right
  • just after double story face brick building turn right into Maryland Avenue
  • the first house on the right is MARYLAND MANOR GUEST HOUSE (#69 Maryland Avenue)

Approaching from N2 South
  • travel on N2 in northerly direction
  • pass Umgeni Rd turnoff and the Nandi Drive turn off, take the KwaMashu turn off (before Umhlanga)
  • at the traffic lights turn right into North Coast Road
  • at the 3rd robot turn left into Rinaldo Road (at 'Brick City' on your left)
  • keep going all the way until you reach T junction.
  • turn left into Umhlanga Rocks Drive
  • turn right at the first traffic lights into Ashley Avenue
  • pass the Spar shop on your left and the Caltex garage on your right
  • turn right into Maryland Avenue
  • the first house on the right is MARYLAND MANOR GUEST HOUSE (#69 Maryland Avenue)

Approaching from M4 South
  • from Durban City Centre follow the M4 North; pass Sun Coast Casino on right and new Rugby Stadium on the left
  • travel over the Umgeni River and continue past Durban North. Keep going past Virginia Airport on right hand side
  • take the Glenashley turn off
  • pass the Glenore Centre on your left
  • drive straight up Aubrey Road and at the crossroads turn left into Newport Avenue
  • turn first right into Ashley Avenue.
  • follow the road all the way up and just before a double story face-brick building turn left into Maryland Avenue
  • the first property on the right is MARYLAND MANOR GUEST HOUSE (#69 Maryland Avenue)
