Martinique 5 is a well maintained, fully equipped, 3 bedroom self catering
apartment with 2 bathrooms both with a bath and shower. (Main bathroom is en
suite) Sleeps 6 people. Main bedroom has a king-size bed and the second and
third bedrooms each have 2 single beds. Build in closets in all 3 rooms. Money
safe in main bedroom. Arrangements can be made for a 7th person to sleep in
extended room at an additional cost per day.
In the open plan kitchen, lounge and dining room a flat screen TV, DStv/ DVD and video player are available. The DStv can be switched on at an additional cost of R20.00 per day. Dining room
table with 8 chairs. The fully equipped kitchen has granite tops with microwave,
fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer.
Air-conditioners in the 3 bedrooms and ceiling fans in all the rooms of the
unit.
The main bedroom and lounge doors open onto a big partly covered patio equipped
with a built-in gas braai and an outside 8 seated table from where you can enjoy
the sub-tropical climate of the coast whilst you watch ships, dolphins and
whales.

Shelley Beach, a fifteen-minute drive from Manaba Beach, has two shopping
centres and a Cinema.
Numerous restaurants and coffee shops at Margate, Shelly Beach and
Ramsgate.
Approximately 12 kms from Port Shepstone the Umzimkulwana River has etched a
spectacular gorge into the mountains to create a rugged, natural landscape of
breathtaking beauty. The gorge, some 27kms long and 1km at its widest point, is
the site of the Oribi Gorge Nature Reserve, a pristine slice of natural bush
managed by the Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife, teeming with wildlife, huge indigenous
trees, meandering hiking and mountain bike trails. Slightly futher along you
will find Lake Eland - the South Coast's only Game Reserve. The edge of the
gorge has been transformed into an extreme adventure hotspot, with the world’s
highest gorge swing which requires you to leap off the cliff, an abseil
alongside a waterfall, and a slide 160 metres above the gorge floor. It is
pretty intimidating stuff, but at least you know you are held by safety
equipment of the highest international standards.
Known as the Golf Coast, there are eleven golf courses on the South Coast,
linked by a superb road network, within easy reach of each other. Set up a base
at Martinique 5 for your Golf Coast holiday and all the courses are within an
hour's drive by car. All the courses have well-appointed clubhouses and friendly
19th hole.
Between June and July the Sardines follow a cool north flowing current which
moves in the opposite direction, next to the shore of the warm south flowing
Agulhas current. Large shoals of sardines with thousands upon thousands of these
tiny fish move up the South Coast, starting at the Wild Coast and then venturing
out to sea just past Durban.
