Marloth 4392 is located on Seekoei Rd in the Eastern Side, which is the
quieter side, of Marloth Park in Mpumalanga, South Africa. Marloth Park is 4
hours away from Johannesburg and is 92km from Nelspruit. The two Kruger National
Park Gates are Malelane, 35km, and Crocodile Bridge, 22km away.
Marloth Park is classified as a Wildlife Conservancy and stretches over 2800
hectares which includes an enclosed game park called Lionspruit that contains 4
of the Big 5 (elephant excluded). No Fencing is permitted between the properties
in Marloth Park, and this allows animals like giraffe, zebra, kudu, nyala,
wildebeest, impala, warthog, waterbuck and duiker to roam freely, and they may
at times come within meters of where you are. If you are a Birder then you may
see a few of the 300 identified species in the area.
Marloth 4392 is a mere 30 meters from the border fence between Marloth Park and
the Kruger National Park, and the road in front of the house stretches along the
15km boundary fence. A walk or drive along the fence will most certainly give
you the opportunity to see any number of animals in the Kruger National Park
that come down to the Crocodile river to drink or play, or simply to laze about.
On many occasions we have witnessed herds of elephants come down to the river.
There are many shady spots along the fence overlooking the river where you can
sit and enjoy the surroundings and watch for animals.
At night when everything gets dark there are a myriad of sounds to tempt the
imagination. The bush comes alive at night and sounds like the distant roar of
lions, the grunting of the hippos in the nearby pools, the rumbling calls of
elephants or simply the sounds and calls of thousands of insects can all be
heard at some point. In the evenings there are a number of nocturnal animals
like large spotted genet, bushbaby, duiker and owls that may visit the unit
Marloth Park has 2 small shopping centers that contain a number of shops
including restaurant and sports bar, laundromat, convenience store, service
station, butchery, liquor store and a hardware store. There is a medical doctor
in Marloth Park.
Marloth 4392 is approximately 20km from Komatiepoort which has a larger
selection of shops and restaurants including a large Spar that has a bakery and
superb fresh produce. There is a nice Wimpy in the Spar complex

Marloth 4392 is a 3 bedroom, 5 sleeper, semi detached, self catering
apartment/townhouse. The unit has 3 upstairs bedrooms and 1 bathroom with bath,
and kitchen, lounge, dining room and bathroom with shower downstairs. The two
front bedrooms have sliding doors that open onto a balcony.
The unit has barbeque facilities on the large verandah that overlooks the
Crocodile River. All rooms have ceiling fans. There is no TV in the unit, and
for those that want to watch sports, visitors congregate at the local sports
bar.
