Machado Stud Farm is 25km from Nelspruit via
Lydenburg. Machado Stud Farm nestles between the rolling hills
and SAPPI plantations on the escarpment of Mpumalanga. We are situated 250km
from Johannesburg and Pretoria, 100km from Nelspruit and are 90 minutes drive
from the Kruger National Park.
Machado Stud Farm is a working dairy farm. Come and enjoy a peaceful farm
holiday in one of our 3 luxury, fully equipped, self catering cottages. For your
convenience we service the cottages twice per day and supply firewood and
charcoal for the braai and fireplaces.
The cottages are supplied with ESCOM electricity, TV with SABC stations only
(but you are welcome to bring your own decoder and card if you prefer DStv)
VODACOM reception is good and MTN can be received clearly in certain areas on
the farm.
Fly fish for rainbow, brown and golden trout in 9 weirs and 8 dams. Catch and
release allowed. Kick boats and float tubes are welcome. Rods available at
R30-00/rod/day.
Enjoy horse riding, rock climbing, paragliding, paintball shooting ,and hiking
or tour the ancient ruins and Anglo Boer War battlefields within an area of 15km
around the farm.
Get your freshly baked bread, scones, cakes, biscuits etc. from the deli.
Meals available by prior arrangement. Restaurants within 20km from the farm.
A professional beautician can make your stay even more relaxing with an Indian
head massage, neck and shoulder massage, pedicure or manicure Booking
essential.
We do not allow pets or quad bikes on the farm.
