The Town Of Graskop:
This village situated on the Drakensberg escarpment above Kolwyn's Pass was established in 1880. The town was originally a gold mining settlement, but is now a major forest centre. The mining of asbestos, manganese and phosphates also contributes to the income of the town. The town of Graskop is the gateway to the Panorama Route, which will enable you to enjoy some of the most awe-inspiring vistas in the world.

Adventure Tourism:
Some of the best hiking trails in the country are in the vicinity of Graskop. The Bourke's Luck Lichen trail has the famous "potholes", and the lichen in the area as the main focus. The Belvedere Trail on the other hand will teach you more about the history of the waterfalls and the Blyde River Valley. The Protea Trail will offer you pure enjoyment of the beauty of indigenous forests, waterfalls and bird life. For the more adventurous, there is the Big Swing, just outside Graskop.

Natural Wonders:
Bourke's Luck Potholes is one of the most intricate pieces of work ever formed by the hand of nature. The Abel Erasmus Pass offers breath-taking views of this beautiful and fertile country side. Watch the Berlin Falls crash approximately 50m into a plunge pool in Blyde River. The is one of the most spectacular natural wonders of our country. God's Window, a cleft in the side of the escarpment north of Graskop, formed by many years of wind erosion, provides magnificent panoramic view of the Lowveld.
