and Little Company of Mary hospitals. The University of Pretoria and many
embassies, as well as Brooklyn Malls, are close by.
The tariff includes a full breakfast. There is a wide variety of restaurants in

separate toilet. This bedroom also opens out onto the verandah.
The "Celery" is the most spacious of the three rooms and it has a
secluded private garden. It has a double bed and a bathroom with a shower. It
has access to the verandah through the guests' sitting room.
Our Area
Legodimong is close to Brooklyn, Hatfield and the old city centre, but it is in
a quiet area far removed from the bustle of the city. It borders on a pristine
nature area, Kruin Park, part of the oldest nature reserve in South Africa,
Groenkloof Nature Reserve, which was proclaimed in 1895. While here you will be
able to see many birds and the occasional small mammal. Bush babies nest in the
area and as it grows dark, one often sees them jumping through the trees.
Things to do
Only 2kms from Legodimong is the Austin Roberts Bird Sanctuary. Spend a while in
the bird hide before enjoying a cup of coffee while watching the birds on the
dam from the Blue Crane Restaurant.
The Union Buildings, 3kms away and built in about 1912 to house the government,
now accommodate the offices of the President. The buildings are not open to the
public but the gardens are beautiful and offer good views of the city.
About 4kms away, Freedom Park on Salvokop, recently opened to the public, is
well worth a visit.
Other recommended visits include Melrose House a beautifully restored 19th
Century home. Further afield are Fort Klapperkop , Pretoria's flagship nature
reserve Rietvlei, the Sammy Marks Museum at Swartkoppies and Smuts House on the
Farm Doornkloof near Irene.
