Landsdowne Lodge is a beautifully decorated, private bed & breakfast situated in the heart of the Thornveld, on a ridge overlooking the valleys and hills surrounding Pietermaritzburg. Hot summer days and nights are spent lazing around a swimming pool and cold winter evenings around a cosy fire.

Our three well appointed bedrooms are all shower-en-suite. We also have a private bathroom with a wonderful large ball and claw bath, for those who prefer to relax in a bath.

1. The Main Room has a double bed, TV and separate entrance on to the verandah, overlooking the swimming pool.
2. The Sundeck Room has two single beds and leads on to a private sundeck, overlooking the pool and gardens.
3. The Gecko Room sleeps two in a double bed.

Full English breakfasts are included in the tariff and are served either in the dining room or on the verandah (weather dependent).

Packed lunches can be arranged on request, as can any laundry requirements.

We are only 15 minutes from the City Centre and 15 minutes from Tala Game Reserve, offering our guests the convenience of being close to the hub of the city but staying in the peaceful surroundings of the Thornveld countryside.
