Woodbridge Island, a secure Residential Complex, is an ideal setting for a relaxed holiday near the sea while still being very close to down town Milnerton, is the easy access to major roads anywhere on the Cape Peninsula or the Western Cape's many Wine Routes.
Woodbridge Island is positioned between, the Cape Town side of 13kms. of white sandy beach, which stretch North to Blouberg's Big Bay, and the Milnerton lagoon as it curves towards it's estuary into Table Bay.
Separated from the suburb of Milnerton by the lagoon it is accessible by road and pedestrian bridge that take visitors to either the beach, the golf, bowling or canoeing clubs or to gates of the Island itself to be found just before the Lighthouse.
Milnerton with its beaches and lagoon is an obvious place for the water sports enthusiast, who wishes to participate in canoeing, paddlesking, wavesking, windsurfing, kitesurfing or surfing, as everything is on the doorstep.
Yet on a morning, cycling groups congregate before starting their rides of the Peninsula or the Durbanville Wine Route.
There are shopping complexes, restaurants and cafes in or around Milnerton for those interested in retail therapy, and just across the bridge from Woodbridge Island can be found a post office, laundry and pharmacy. With a supermarket and two banks very close by.
The House is set on the West bank of the lagoon and enjoys a wonderful view of that piece of water with its varied bird life. The upstairs balcony allows one the international view of Cape Town and Table Mountain but ideally this should be seen from the beach a mere two hundred strides away.
Strolling around you will find easy access to the beach or one of the complexes 3 swimming pools and the gardened area of the Koi Pond and its stream are a peaceful haven.
Ideally the house accommodates 4 people, but a sleeper couch in the lounge makes up into a queen size bed for any unexpected visitors. It has 2 bedrooms, one with a queen size bed and the other with 2 single beds, and has one and a half bathrooms with bath and shower. Towels and linen are provided. Bring your own Beach towels.
The house is very well equipped and tastefully decorated. TV with Mnet facility and DVD player as well as a Radio, Tape and CD player are there for the use of the guests.
Besides a fully equipped kitchen there is a Weber for braaing/ barbecuing in the enclosed paved garden area after a day of sightseeing or sport in our wonderful city and or its surrounds.
