We are situated in Greytown, which lies in the heart of Umvoti County in the KZN Midlands & we are on the Battlefields Route. We are only 74km from Pietermaritzburg & 140km from Durban - accessible from the N3 via the R74 (Colenso & the Mooi River) of R74 (Pietermaritzburg & Stanger - N2).
Greytown was established in 1854 & named after a former British Governor, Sir George Grey. There are several other places of historical interest in the area, such as the birthplace of Gen. Louis Botha, remains of old fort embankments & early & late Victorian buildings - the Greytown Museum & Town Hall, both enjoying National Monument status. There is also a large German community in the district, & another two National Monuments can be seen at the hub of the German Culture - at Hermannsburg.
