La Bruyere Farm is beautifully situated against the Witzenberg mountain range, approximately 9km from
Tulbagh - an attractive and historic town set in the Boland mountains less than an hour and a half from Cape Town.
The farm is 222 hectares with the upper part of the farm reaching into the natural fynbos and proteas of the Western Cape mountains. Other parts of the farm are established to wine grape vineyards, winter crops such as oats and a herd of Angus cattle. Every aspect of the farm offers breathtaking views which makes for a peaceful and relaxing place to be. There is a lovely dam with fresh mountain water running into it all year round with a deck to swim and fish from. Please bring your own swimming towels.
Tulbagh is centrally situated in the
Breede River Valley in the Western Cape which enables visitors to explore other surrounding areas without having to travel too far.
Accommodation
La Bruyere offers 2 self-catering cottages. The cottages are attractively and comfortably furnished. They are fully equipped with towels, linen, kitchen items, braai (barbeque) facilities with wood, and have their own private gardens. Both cottages have indoor wood-burning fire places with ample wood provided.
Garden Cottage has 2 bedrooms with 2 single beds and 1 bedroom with a double bed. Sleeps 6 people.
Hill Cottage has 1 bedroom with a double bed and a divan in the lounge. Sleeps 2 to 3 people.
