KOSI MOON B&B, situated in one of the more remote areas of South Africa, is
centrally located in the Kosi Bay area along the Elephant Coast, Maputaland,
Northern KwaZulu Natal.
The mystique and beauty of this area abound in the many stunning beaches, vast
lakes and rich cultural heritage.
KOSI MOON B&B affords genuine nature-lovers access to vast areas of unspoilt
bush, undeveloped tropical beaches and some of the most beautifully tranquil
walks imaginable.
Our aim is to provide our guests with a comfortable, friendly environment that
will enhance their beach and bush experience.
KOSI MOON B&B overlooks the coastal sand forest and Lake Nhlange, the 3rd and
largest lake in the Kosi Bay Nature Reserve 4-lake system.
The Kosi system runs parallel with the ocean for 12km, beginning in the south at
the fresh water Lake Amanzimnyama, where the largest indigenous forest of raffia
palms occurs; increasing in salinity through Lakes Nhlange, Mpungwini,
Makhawulani northward, and finally exiting via Kosi Mouth estuary into the warm,
clear Indian Ocean.
