Most rooms have an open fireplace, a hammock and satellite TV (DStv). All self-catering units have their own braai (barbeque) facilities and private varandah.
The cosy pub and restaurant offers a good selection of South Africa's favourite foods and wines. Also in the main complex are a quiet lounge for relaxing with a selection of books and magazines, and a swimming pool with sun loungers. The lodge also has conference facilities for up to 30 people.
Activities include, fly fishing for Yellowfish in 10 km of unpolluted Komati River and 3 stunning trout dams, canoeing on the river, hiking, walking, bird watching and exploring ancient ruins. Game viewing and horse riding are also close by and easily arranged.
