Tucked away beneath the fynbos, on a farm situated in the Van der Stel Pass
near Botrivier, lies the handcrafted and natural log and stone - structure,
KolKol Mountain lodge with its with its four log cabins, KolKol, Bugsy, King and
Sugarbush log cabins as well as our upper, freestanding, luxury tent. Set in a tranquil and peaceful environment with sweeping views of the Babilonstoren mountains as well as the fynbos of the Cape Floral Kingdom, this self-catering accommodation offers the perfect breakaway for family and friends of all ages. How about relaxing in your private plunge pool in summer
time or soaking in a steaming hot pool at the cabin or hot-tubs at the tents, on a chilly winter's evening; add a crackling fire, an endless starry sky and a glass of fine red wine! Make an
early start to your day and enjoy the hot water whilst sipping on a freshly
brewed cup of coffee and watching the sun rise on the horizon.
Curl up in front of the stone fireplace with an intriguing book or even just
listen to the fascinating sounds of nature... Come and enjoy the fresh air and
head up the mountain via our two hiking trails, one for the "take it easy" hiker
and another for the more adventurous. These 2 or 3 hour trails will allow you to
appreciate the fynbos, birdlife and views of the "laslappie lande" of the
Overberg region.
Bring your mountain bike and take a ride down the Van der Stell pass gravel road
and visit Goedvertrouw Wine Estate for a fresh cup of coffee and homemade rusks
or even stop for a "cold one" at the Botrivier Hotel.

The cabin accommodation includes the following:
- 1 x 2 Bed-roomed self catering log cabin with bed linen for both rooms
- Loft with 2 x single beds plus double sleeper couch suitable for
children
- 2 bathrooms each with shower, toilet and washbasin (1 is en-suite)
- House keeper every third day.
