captivating setting on the banks of the Crocodile River offers guests an
exceptional destination from which to explore the adjoining Kruger National
Park.
Accommodation
With the emphasis on exclusivity, accommodation at Khandizwe is limited to 4
en-suite bedrooms, each one masterfully appointed and exuding refinements such
as fully stocked mini-bars, beverage trays, air-conditioners, overhead ceiling
fans and fine linen.
The 4 bedrooms are complimented by elegant entertainment and dining areas, and a
Game viewing deck that provides the ideal vantage point to observe the regular
occurrence of elephant and buffalo feeding in the reeds in front of the Lodge.
During the heat of the day, the swimming pool occupies centre stage, with guests
sipping refreshing drinks whilst watching crocodiles gently glide by only metres
away.
Safari Activities
The Malelane Gate, the southern entry point into Kruger, is a mere 5 minutes
away. This makes it ideal to explore this world-famous Reserve on a self-drive
basis.
Guests may also embark on one of numerous specialised Safari Excursions into the
Kruger Park in search of Africa’s Big 5. These safaris take place in open Game
vehicles and are offered by highly qualified, independent safari operators with
whom Khandizwe Lodge has had long associations. The 3 hour morning or afternoon
excursion, or the full day safari, are very popular with our guests. A detailed
schedule of all safari activities and rates is reflected below, and we would be
delighted to contact the relevant safari operators to make a booking on your
behalf.
Sole-use Option
Those searching for an intimate and uniquely private safari experience may book
the entire Lodge as one complete, fully serviced self-catering unit. Extended
families or a group of friends comprising 4 or more members may request the
Sole-use Option. Guests selecting the sole-use option of the Lodge will
automatically have access to our modern kitchen with its exquisite crockery and
cutlery, as well as our 2 housekeepers.
Meals
The Bed and Breakfast option includes a hearty breakfast that is served on our
terrace to the sights and sounds of the resident hippo family who regularly
grunt and frolic to the amusement of our guests.
Diners and other meals may be taken at one of the numerous restaurants in the
immediate vicinity.
