There are two units available, namely "The Upstairs" and "The Downstairs"
units.
The Downstairs Unit:
- 2 Double En Suite rooms
- 1 Double room
- 1 Single room
- 1 Separate bathroom
- Sleeps maximum of 10 people.
- Open plan lounge, dining room and kitchen, with separate scullery.
- Large furnished veranda with built in braai.
The Upstairs Unit:
- 1 Double En Suite
- 2 Double rooms
- 1 Separate bathroom
- Sleeps maximum 7 people.
- Open plan lounge, dining room and kitchen.
- Large furnished balcony with built in braai and sea view.
Both units are fully equipped. Guest need only bring their own towels and a
DStv card.
The property is fully fenced and secure.
We are also resident on the property and available for any assistance if
required.
The main beach, shops and banks are within walking distance.
The Port Edward.
There are several good golf courses in the area, e.g. The Wild Coast, San Lameer,
Margate and Port Edward's own little 9 hole. John is a professional
golfer with good contacts at all these courses. he is also available for
lessons.
Port Edward is the last stop on the south coast. Our beaches provide excellent
swimming and include a popular ski boat launch. Port Edward is a famous fishing
destination, both deep sea and off the rocks.
The North Sands Lighthouse has spectacular sea views, and a maritime museum
which provide fascinating insight into local history; Including last days of the
Portuguese sailing ship, the Sao Joao which ran aground off Port Edward in 1552.
It was returning from the east, laden with beads, Ming porcelain, money cowries
and spices. Remnants of the treasure still wash up on the beaches.
We have several restaurants, craft shops and galleries dotted around the town.
The Umtamvuna Nature Reserve contains many rare plants and is also home to a
colony of vultures. It also boasts hiking trails, 4x4 and mountain bike tracks.
We regularly see whales and dolphins off our beaches, and hope to see you too.
