in Moditlo Private Game Reserve, Valley of the Olifants,
Limpopo, South Africa
Jackalberry Lodge is a thatched lodge situated in Moditlo Private Game
Reserve some 12kms south of Hoedspruit in Limpopo Province, South Africa.
Moditlo is a 3300 ha Game Reserve and also forms part of the larger Blue Canyon
Conservancy which is 15000 ha. The game reserve has the Big 4 ( no Buffalo ) and
has large numbers and variety of game. Currently there are only 10/12 houses
situated within the 5500ha reserve and as a result there is a lot of privacy,
peace and tranquility for residents and visitors.
The lodge has a total of 4 bedrooms of which only 3 will be available for
rental. The lodge is very private and is situated on a dry river bed with the
bush and wild animals on your doorstep.
The lodge and its surrounds are not ideal for small children and no pets are
allowed.
The lodge offers en suite facilities for each of the bedrooms with TV, DVD and
air conditioning in each room. The kitchen is fitted with a large SMEG gas
cooker and SMEG fridge and dish washer. The scullery has an additional fridge
for drinks and a washing machine and dryer for guest usage. The dining table
sits 6 people comfortably with a breakfast bar situated in the adjacent kitchen
area.
DSTV is installed in the lounge and linked to the bedrooms. The outside of the
property has decking and an undercover stoop for dining. All furniture and decor
is 5 star. The house was built in 2008 and as such all furniture, beds, outdoor
furniture etc is in excellent condition.
Locally visitors have easy access to Orpen Gate of the Kruger National Park.
There are numerous other attractions and beautiful restaurants in the area.
STRICTLY NO SMOKING INSIDE THE PREMISES AND GREAT CARE MUST BE EXERCISED IF
SMOKING OUTSIDE DUE TO THE CLOSE PROXIMITY OF THE BUSH.
