Located right on the beach,Southbroom Main Beach, renowned for its swimming,
surfing and canoeing.
Irv's Place is a serviced property, sleeping 10 people. There are 5 bedrooms,
all of which are tastefully decorated with ceiling fans and built-in cupboards.
Three of the bedrooms have en-suite facilities (bath/shower, wc) and there is an
additional bathroom. One large bedroom en-suite/shower has 3 beds and is
therefore suitable for children/teenagers. All bed linen is supplied.
The lounge and dining area is spacious, airy and light, with double doors
opening onto a covered veranda. This is a perfect place to relax and have meals,
whatever the weather. If you have had enough of the beach, enjoy the secluded
and protected garden from your sun lounger with the sea only a stone's throw
away. Irv's Place does have a T.V. satellite dish and decoder, so please feel
free to bring your own smart card in order to access DSTV.
The kitchen is fully functional, with a stove, microwave oven, fridge / freezer,
dishwasher and enough crockery, cutlery and glasses. Off the kitchen, there is
an enclosed courtyard as well as a fully equipped laundry (washing machine,
tumble dryer, etc.) and a secure storeroom with additional fridge facilities.
There is a double lock-up garage.
Irv's Place is fully secure with perimeter palisade fencing and a full alarm
system (with beams) which is linked to a security company. Large trellidoors
secure the lounge leading onto the covered verandah. Our housekeeper lives on
the property and will service the house daily as well as help with cooking.
Guests are required to reimburse her on a daily basis for this service.
There is a Spar supermarket, chemist, coffee shop, beauty salon and gym in
Southbroom, with larger grocery stores and shopping centres in the nearby
resorts of Margate and Shelley Beach. Only 1km from Irv's Place is Southbroom
Golf Course, a renowned and beautiful course, as well as tennis courts and a
bowling green. There are a number of excellent restaurants nearby.
With its superb beach location, Irv's Place is tough to beat! We look forward to
your stay!
