Betty\'s Bay is a little seaside town nestled beneath the Kogelberg Mountain on the R44 Clarence Drive - a steep, scenic coastal route which stretches from Gordons Bay to Rooiels, Pringle Bay, Betty\'s Bay and Kleinmond and is well worth the drive.

Betty\'s Bay is famous for its whale watching viewpoints and beautiful botanical gardens. Its other attractions include: safe beaches, fishing, surfing, diving, and hiking. Humpback and Southern Right whales migrate to the coastal waters of this region to calve. May to December are ideal months for land-based whale watching.

Betty\'s Bay is reputed to include the most varied wealth of flowering plants in southern Africa and is home to the Harold Porter Botanic Reserve, which lies within the Kogelberg Biosphere Reserve. Ericas, proteas, restios and other indigenous bulbous plants attract a large population of birds that include the Cape thrush, sugarbird, ground woodpecker and fiscal shrike.

View about 100 pairs of Jackass penguin, who co-exist with a number of Cormorants, from Stoney Point in the Betty\'s Bay area.
