Previously known as the Witwatersrand National Botanical Gardens before being renamed, the gardens continue to delight both locals and foreign visitors alike with it's wonderful floral displays spread across 300 ha of parkland. The Witpoortjie (""white gate"") Waterfall is the centre piece of the gardens, with the crown jewels being a magnificent breeding pair of black eagles nested at it's summit.
