Anysberg Nature Reserve

The Anysberg Nature Reserve is a vast arid region of rugged mountains and Little Karoo veld nestled in the heart of the Klein Karoo. The reserve is administered by CapeNature who offer environmental education programs to groups up to 20. They can also organize a 2-day guided horse trail that is highly recommended. Other activities include hiking and mountain biking along the jeep tracks.

Summer temperatures can be unbearable, so it is best to visit the reserve in the cooler winter months from April to September. Vegetation on the veld consists primarily of succulents, while proteas and other fynbos are found on the higher mountain slopes.
