Durbanville in Bloom

Durbanville in Bloom We dont all have to get out hands dirty in order to enjoy the benefits of having a beautiful garden. The sights, the smells, the sounds, the textures of these horticultural delights are open for all to enjoy each year during the annual Durbanville in Bloom - Open Gardens. Each year a wide selection of private and public gardens are open to visit to get inspiration and ideas from. Tickets and maps are available from 4 Dalsig Road, Valmary Park, Durbanville, Western Cape.

Durbanville Rose Garden is also one of the Citys public parks which is also part of Durbanville in Bloom, the garden is a popular attraction amongst rose enthusiasts and one of only three rose trial sites in the southern hemisphere. In 1979 the first roses were planted and in 1981 the test beds were set out. Today, this 3.5 hectare garden boasts 4 500 rose bushes and more than 500 rose varieties.

Another venue on the map is the Durbanville Nature Reserve.
