Cape Outdoor Adventure and Travel Expo
Its all systems go for October at The lookout and Granger Bay Outdoor at the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront in Cape Town. With outdoor and travel enthusiasts from across the province and across the country flocking in to see what is on display at the annual Cape Outdoor Adventure and Travel Expo. 2011 will see the Expo take place at the new venue for the first time, boasting 360 degree views of the citys most spectacular sights overlooking the sea. The Lookout, Cape Towns dazzling new venue on the waters edge, is the ultimate distinctive, contemporary setting for the expo. The venue offers 1 200 square meters of Prime Indoor Exhibition Space with Airconditioning and Decking! And 10 000 square meters of Prime Outdoor Exhibition Space!
The expo offers food markets, whisky and wine tastings, various outdoor adventure experience displays, accommodation displays, various travel destinations and various tourist attractions, too many to mention. The 2011 Expo will provide TV Screens for the Rugby World Cup Semi-Final. Some of the food stalls at the expo will include Marcels Frozen Yoghurt, Avanti Coffee and Cakes, Blowfish Sushi Restaurant, Chipstix, Guz Softserve, Hectic Biltong, La Jez Homemade Pies, Mobile Coffee Shop, Nestle Ice Cream, Pancake Emporium, Pickadeli Food, Pikkiwyntjie Kombuis, Rozigal Foods, Sauls Saloon and Cafe, Schwarma Express, Squirrels Nuts, Sweet Temptations and the Lemon Curd Lady. The will be an Early Bird Special Breakfast on 15th and 16th October 2011 from 10:00 to 11:00.
The 2011Cape Outdoor Adventure and Travel Expo will take place from Friday 14th to Sunday 16th October 2011.
Friday: 10:00 to 19:00
Saturday: 09:00 to 19:00
Sunday: 09:00 to 18:00
Adults 17 years +: R50
Children 7 - 16 years: R15
Pensioners: R25 (Must show valid pensioners card or ID)
Students: R25 (Must show valid student card)
Children under 7 years: FREE
N.B. Disabled folks and pensioners are free on the Friday
The Waterfront Lookout is situated on the corner of Granger Bay Boulevard and Dock Road at the Stadium end of the V&A Waterfront.
Entering from the Waterfront side
When entering the Waterfront keep driving straight, following the Stadium signs.
Keeping the BMW Pavilion on your left, proceed straight at the next circle and at the last circle (nearest the Stadium) you will see the beautiful glass sided marquee straight ahead.
It is opposite an uncovered parking area.
Entering from the Stadium end
When entering the V&A Waterfront, from the Stadium end, The Waterfront Lookout is on the left of the first circle you come to.
