Le Bonheur Croccodile Farm
The perfect family destination, this croc farm is something special for young and old. Offering guided tours every 45 minutes which lead you across open dams via ramp ways, Le Bonheur gives you the perfect view point to marvel at the over 1000 crocodiles which they have housed on location. Not only do visitors get to view the crocodiles up close but also the opertunity to touch and hold a baby croc and experience the feeding of the bigger crocs (please phone us to enquire about feeding times)
Apart from croc viewing the farm is also home to a licensed cafe, which overlooks the waterfront and a beautiful garden. The restaurant also has croc meat dishes and specialises in croc spring roles. Catering for weddings, year-end functions, birthdays, and team building events, the restaurant makes a perfect setting and with a safe and secure childrens play area it is sure to keep the kids entertained too. The restaurant is open for breakfast and lunch every day except Tuesday, from 10:00 to 17:00 and advance booking is recommended.
Le Bonheurs shop sells an extensive range of Nile croc leather articles, such as belts, wallets, bags, shoes and furniture. The skins are finished to perfection and are sourced from the tannery on the farm under the watchful eye of Kadys Prins, the expert tanner of Nile crocodile skins at Bonheur Tannery.
The farm also offers Bass catch and release fishing in their irrigation dam which hold Bass and Tilapia. Fishing is in the dam can be done during normal business hours, Monday to Sunday from 9:00 to 17:00 and fisherman need to register in the gift shop, where kids rods can also be hired.
