Perry's Bridge Reptile Park

Located a mere fourteen kilometers from the Phabeni and Numbi gates of the Kruger Park, in the Perry's Bridge Shopping Centre, Perry's Bridge Reptile Park offers visitors an unforgettable opportunity to view some of the most interesting reptiles from both South Africa and around the world. The collection includes various venomous snakes, large constrictorslizards, crococodillians, tortoises and a number of frogs. The venue has recently established itself as one of the lowvelds popular attractions, and houses various species which include anacondas, reticulated pythons, deadly black mambas, green mamba, rattlesnakes, boomslang, gaboon adder, and cobras, and a massive variety of others, as well as iguanas, ancient leopard tortoises, poison dart frogs, and enormous Nile crocodiles. The enclosures which house the reptiles have all been specially designed to recreate their natural habitats, providing them with a more relaxed environment, and allowing for a better viewing experience for visitors to the park.

A popular attraction amongst the younger visitors are the potbellied pigs which reside at the park, PumPum, Peaches and Pumpkin, whilst the goats named Daisy and Gandalf, the peacocks Letitia and Lancelot, and a variety of ducks and geese also make the favorite list. The Perry's Bridge Reptile Park also features a garden, which attracts an impressive variety of endemic bird species which include the magnificent purple crested touracos, a number of resident woodland kingfishers and occasional sightings of gymnogene.

Other attractions in the Perry's Bridge Shopping Centre include a large variety of enticing restaurants, an internet cafe, and a brewery, while visitors can also spend their hard earned cash shopping for locally produced, high quality crafts and curios, an art gallery and a divine Belgian Patissiere combined with a wine shop. A small playground for the children is also featured.

Perry's Bridge Reptile Park offers daily demonstrations at 11h00 and 15h00, Crocodile feeding on Sundays at 14h00. The park is open from 10h00 until 17h00, seven days a week, and is located within the Perry's Bridge Tourist Centre, Corner of the R536 and R40, Hazyview, Mpumalanga.
