The Khaya La Bantu Xhosa Cultural Village offers an intoxicating mix of
traditional music, dance, food, and drink that will fill your senses with a true
Xhosa experience and leave your mind filled with rich memories.
Started as a private Canadian business investment in 1995 the Khaya La Bantu
offers locals a venue for displaying their rich heritage in music, crafts and
the arts.
Mama Tofu and her daughter, Zinzi will introduce you to the sacred rituals
and culture of the Xhosa, bringing to life a proud heritage. Beginning
with a welcome dance with drums, song and, colourful costumes.
After the dance, guests are invited to the chief's burial site and offered a
potent concoction of home-brewed Mqomboti, in honour of the chief.
Learn the true magic of the sangomas and watch an exciting display of stick
fighting. And then relax with a traditional Xhosa meal and enjoy a drink
from the Mananana Bar.
