The Panorama Route is located along the Blyde River Canyon in Mpumalanga, it is one of the most beautiful and popular travel destinations inSouth Africa. The Panorama Route leads through the rugged mountain range of the Northern Drakensberg.

The most spectacular stretch of the Panorama Route is the the Blyde River Canyon, from many well-positioned vantage points one has a view of the long gorge which is the 3rd largest canyon in the world at 33km in length, it starts at "Bourkes Luck Potholes" and ends at the "Three Rondavels". The "Bourkes Luck Potholes" are very impressive rock formations that were shaped millions of years ago by erosion.

Panorama Route attractions include climbing the mountain passes onto the escarpment and look down at the wonders of the Lowveld. Places that are must visits are "God's Window", "The Pinnacle" and "Bourkes Luck Potholes". One of the major highlights of the region is the Blyde River Canyon Reserve, which is home to magnificent wildlife and birdlife as well as some of the greatest views.
