Monkeyland is a free-roaming sanctuary for ex-captive primates. These animals are come from all over the world, including lemurs from Madagascar, gibbons from Asia, howlers from South America, and of course many monkey species from Africa.

Professional rangers will take you on a one hour guided tour through the sanctuary where you will learn about the fascinating primates you will encounter. The guided tour also provides you the opportunity to walk above the forest canopy along a 120m suspension bridge, giving you a birds eye view of the wonderful creatures leaving within the trees.

The Afromontane Forest at Monkeyland consists of yellowwoods, Bladder-nut, Dogwood, Cat-thorn, ironwood olive and various shrubs and ferns. Some of the many birds that live here include the Knysna lourie, the Knysna woodpecker, and the paradise flycatcher.

The facilities at Monkeyland include a restaurant, curio store, and bar.
