The Kruger National Park is the pride of South Africa. Over 2500 km of road allow access to well frequented water holes and viewing spots. This vast expanse of bush veld is home to over 1000 species which include 147 mammal species and over 500 bird species. The Park, named in honour of President Paul Kruger for his efforts in wildlife preservation, is well organised with 8 entrance gates, wilderness trails led by experienced rangers, and some interesting features such as the reconstructed Iron Age Settlement and an unusual exhibition of the 'Magnificent Seven' elephants with their tusks that made them famous.

DIRECTIONS TO KRUGER NATIONAL PARK: An approximate 350 km stretch from along the north eastern corner of South Africa, dividing the Northern Province from Mozambique, and overlapping south into Mpumalanga and an average of 60 km in width.
