Makutsi has many attractions such as nature trails, hiking trails, game drives, hunting and horse riding. The Balule Private Game Reserve is nearby and is located along the banks of the Olifants River between Phalaborwa and Hoedspruit where you will get to see large game such as elephant, hippo and many more. The Echo Caves is a fascinating discovery made in 1923 by a local farmer and has become a national monument. The Caves consist of many stalactites and stalagmites. The Echo Caves offer guided tours daily between 8:30am and 4pm.
