Sabi Sands is a collection of private game reserves adjacent to the Kruger National Park. There are no fences between Kruger and the Sabi Sands Reserve, and animals can wander from one to the other with no hindrance. The private game reserves that make up Sabi Sands offer safari accommodation that is second to none. Accommodation at each of the Sabi Sands reserves is highly luxurious, offering excellent food, wines and service. Sabi Sands is probably the best place in the world to see leopard, and with the big five moving freely to and from Kruger it offers big game viewing that is exceptional. Each resort at Sabi Sands offers both walking and driven safaris, each accompanied by a professional game ranger. The Summer season at Sabi Sands starts in September and goes on until March. This is the season when hundreds of Impala are born. Everything is green and there are numerous thunderstorms with temperatures as high as the mid 40s Centigrade. April to August is the dry season, the land is barren and animals have to gather at waterholes in order to survive. |
