Situated only twenty minutes north of Durban is the 925 hectare tropical coastal estate of Zimbali. The magnificent eighteen hole golf course at the Zimbali Country Club was designed by former British and SA Open championship winner Tom Wieskopf, and proves to be a decent challenge to golfers of any handicap. The course features rolling wetlands and coastal forest, leading golfers on a tough walk but fortunately the use of golf carts are compulsory. Zimbali is also closely situated to the headquarters of the Natal Sharks Board, which provide visitors with informative tours and displays throughout the year. For keen shoppers, Gateway shopping centre is also nearby, with its hundreds of stores and entertainment facilities.
