We have two deluxe cabins, high in the Monks Cowl Reserve of the Central
Drakensberg Mountains, offering secluded self-catering accommodation. You will
love the large double bedroom/lounge with a fireplace, as well as the bathroom
and the kitchen. If you wish to dine outside, each cabin has a covered deck and
a Weber braai. We supply firewood, charcoal, and firelighters, and the kitchen
is fully equipped, including a fridge and a microwave oven.
You will have access to our 95 hectares of mountains, streams, waterfalls, and
indigenous forest. Crystal Falls, the Sphinx, Verkykerskop, and Breakfast Stream
are all on our property. You can also range further into the Ukhahlamba/Drakensberg
World Heritage Site and its trails free of charge. Step from your cabin directly
into the mountains and walk beneath the majestic Cathkin Peak and Champagne
Castle. Then enjoy the quiet and peace of the evenings, far from civilization.
If you are looking for a romantic destination and you enjoy the majesty of the
Drakensberg Mountains, this is the place for you. We do not accept children or
pets, and each cabin takes only one couple. We look forward to your stay with us
in this magical hideaway: bring your hiking boots and your binoculars; look out
for the animals wandering our property; wonder at the sheer range of indigenous
flowers and trees; gaze at the clear night sky with its dazzlingly bright stars;
or simply put your feet up and chill out.
