Hippo Pools Resort offers a range of accommodation, from luxury riverside
houses with fabulous views of the Olifants River, to smaller affordable rooms at
the resort.
All accommodation is self-catering, but why not join us for big breakfasts in
the tea garden, light snacks and drinks or even a three course evening meal?
Take a walk along the Olifants River and enjoy the fantastic animal and birdlife
offered here, from wild hippo to fish eagles and kingfishers.
The resort has a tarred airstrip for avid aviators, who can park their planes in
sight of their rooms, and for those keen to try a trip into the skies let us
arrange micro-light trips for you to experience flying over the Bushveld. The
resort boasts a large swimming pool, games room with pool table and darts board,
tea garden for snacks and drinks and laundry service. A picturesque small chapel
caters for weddings, while the main hall can be hired for year end functions and
conferences.
Situated near Hoedspruit and between two Kruger park gates (Orpen and Phalaborwa)
we offer a fantastic base to explore the area.
For anyone visiting the area on business, the Rondavels are ideal accommodation
and we can provide Dinner bed and breakfast if required. Internet hotspot also
available.

1 x Hippo Cottage: Luxury Riverside house with four bedrooms, three bathrooms,
DSTV, air-conditioning throughout, private swimming pool and lapa looking onto
Olifants river
2 x Luxury Riverside House: Three bedrooms, three bathrooms, private splash
pool, veranda and braai area looking onto Olifants river.
2 x Luxury Rondavels - sleeping two , these rooms have a double or queen size
bed, basic self catering equipment, microwave, shower and toilet, TV,
Air-conditioning. Braai outside unit.
6 x Basic resort rooms - budget options, rooms with double and one or two single
beds, basic self catering equipment, shower /toilet , braai, Air-conditioning,
Sleep maximum of 4 per room.
3 x Poolside rooms - recently totally renovated, these rooms have a double and
one single bed, air-conditioning, colour tv (SABC channels), kitchenette with
microwave, two plate stove, kettle etc. Shower/Toilet. Outside the room is a
braai area facing our large swimming pool.
All our rooms are serviced daily. Linen and bath towels are supplied. All units
have coffee and tea making facilities.
