The small coastal village of Pringle Bay is about one hours drive from Cape
Town, via the N2 and R44. The portion of the R44 along False Bay is one of the
most spectacular scenic drives in the country. Popular tourist's attractions,
like Stellenbosch (wine routes) and Hermanus (whales) are less than an hour's
drive away from Pringle Bay. The village, surrounded by mountains and sea, has
only one entrance road, and has kept its unique rural character. There are
neither street- or traffic- lights to be seen nor Shopping Malls. There are
however a few country shops (mainly food) and a number of restaurants and
coffee-shops.
"High-wind" self-catering house is situated 10 min walking, or a few minutes by
car, away from one of the still unspoiled beaches on the Cape Coast. Parking
areas, with toilet- and shower facilities, are available at the beach. The house
sleeps 10 (beds) plus 2 (sleeper couch in living room).
GROUND FLOOR:
- Spacious open plan living-dining area and kitchen.
- Two bedrooms with bathrooms en-suite.
- Separate guest toilet.
The comfortable lounge is fitted with a large flat screen TV set and a DVD
player. It also has an open fire place.
The dining table seats 12.
The kitchen is fully equipped with Eye-level Oven, Electric Stove, Microwave,
Fridge/Freezer, Coffee Machine, Kettle, Toaster, Utensils, and Crockery and has
extras like:
- Dishwashing Machine
- Washing Machine
- Tumble Drier.
The larger of the two bedrooms has a queen-size double bed. The other bedroom
has two single beds.
All beds equipped with cloud-nine mattresses.
FIRST FLOOR:
- Bedroom with double bed (cloud-nine mattress) and distant sea views.
- Bedroom with two single beds and a bunk bed.
The two bedrooms share one bathroom.
On the first floor is further a large deck with beautiful mountain and distant
sea views.
Linen and towels will be provided. Change of linen and full service will be done
once a week. Towels will be changed twice a week. Bring your OWN beach towels. A
servant for cleaning the house and doing the dishes on a daily basis could be
made available at R 100.00/day; please advice well in advance if required.
Dishwashing machine powder and two toilet rolls per bedroom will be provided.
